Q: I can't find what I want?We can source 1000's of products so it's almost impossible to feature everything we can do. If you can't see what you want then please contact us and we will do our best to find them for you.
Q: I only want to order individual personalised items or very small amounts, will this be more expensive and is it possible?
We have equipment which makes it cost effective to personalise one off items rather than just large runs and large volumes, so if you want only one item we can arrange this at very competitive prices for you.
Q: Do I have to supply the artwork?
No, we do offer a full design service so please contact us for a quote and we can arrange an excellent quote for every type of design you require.
Q: What type of artwork and images do you accept?
We accept high quality jpegs for photos or, editable PDF's or eps files. This ensures the best quality production for your chosen personalised item or clothing.
Q: What type of clothing printing is best for full colour or multi colour designs on white t-shirts or polo shirts on orders less than 25?
Sublimation is the most cost effective and gives a great finish with no set up fee if you supply finished artwork. It gives vibrant colours and clean finish dyed into the garment under pressure and heat making it very durable.
Q: What is the best way of producing personalised stag and hen t-shirts with different names or number on each?
We use a range of fancy vinyls from plain colours to sparkles and flourescents, along with full colour garment transfers. These can then be used on anything from one item upwards and you can have different names or other variations on each garment at very good prices. Please contact us to discuss your design and recieve a great quote.
Q: Will you print or embroider clothing a customer provides rather than buying clothes via Iced Gecko?
Yes we can personalise garments supplied to us but require details prior to quoting for print only, e.g. type of garments, make and materials they are made from including sight of them prior to print. Although we take great care printing or personalising clothing occassionally garments can be damaged so it is the customers responsibility to be able to ensure replacements can be purchased if required when they are not supplied by us.
Q: What is the best method for adding full colour logos or images on to coloured clothing for orders of under 50-75?
Garment transfers is the most cost effective way, where the image is printed using high quality ink onto clothing transfer paper after being set up for cutting in CAD software. This is then applied using heat and pressure to the clothing.
Q: What is the cheapest way for adding names and text to small orders of clothing?
The most cost effective method is generally using vinyls like you see on the back of football shirts for the names and numbers.
Q: What types of vinyls can you apply to clothing to make them look fancier and stand out?
We have 100's of different clothing vinyls and flocks, from glitters, sparkles, flourescents, snake skin, fluffy feel flocks, paint effects... the list goes on. Q: How should I wash my clothing once it's been personalised?
It depends on the personalisation method used but generally although most can be washed from 60-80°C we advise to only wash them all at 40°C for the best durability.
Q: How long will transfers and vinyls last on clothing once applied?
Providing they are washed at only 40°C they should last for a many many washes. We are currently wash testing some full colour grament transfers and various vinyls at present and are currently over 50 washes with no issues.
Q: What is the cheapest way to produce large volume orders of personalised clothing with single to four colour prints on them?
Screen printing is generally the most cost effective for orders over 50 for single colour one position prints up to four colour on volumes over 100.
Q: What is a set up fee for?
A set up fee is for the preperation involved in making artwork ready for print or cut, or for producing screens, films or the set up time on equipment to personalise clothing or gifts.
Q: Will the colour of my design or logo reproduce exactly as I want it on corporate gifts, paper or clothing?
Artwork correctly formatted will produce outstanding quality prints but slight variations can occur depending on the method and inks used or if artwork is supplied in the incorrect colour format to what is requested. Q: What design services do you offer?
We can do almost any type of design from logos, posters, flyers, brochures, letterheads business cards, banners, shop signs to whole stage sets. We also do corporate branding for new or relaunching businesses wishing to rebrand.
Q: Do you do full colour window and vehicle vinyls?
In-house we produce and cut single coloured sign and vehicle vinyls which come with a 5 year guarantee of not fading. These can be layered to give different effects. We do not produce full colour vehicle and window vinyls in-house but can have them printed via a trade partner.
Q: I want to order but want to see a sample first. Is this possible?
Yes we can produce a sample but this will generally require a payment to cover the cost of the sample and shipping. Should you then proceed with an order we endevour to reduce the price of your order by the value fo the sample provided. Simple items to produce will carry a minimal set up fee as we always try to keep our prices for samples to an absolute minimum or free where possible to do so.
Q: Why do you request pre payment?
As we have a significant outlay purchasing the items or garments for personalisation we request pre payment either in full or part to guarantee the commitment of the purchaser to the order as once personalised the items of garments are of no use to any other customer unlike in many businesses where they can be resold to another customer.
